The Call of Duty mobile Companion App is now available for iOS and Android Devices. The app allows players to obtain tips, news, track of their in game stats, display heat maps of previously played matches, compare stats to friends and even compete in additional challenges to unlock discounts on products and in game items. You can even get a weekly action report that is presented like a written report as if a higher ranking official wrote it and it will either give you some motivation to improve your game or make you feel terrible with how bad you have been playing.
A loadout editor is teased and will be coming later to the app, which reminds me of Destiny which allows you to customize your loadout on the go so you are ready to play when you get home from work. Although, once you have all guns unlocked, chances are you already have your favourite gun class setup, but it is a nice feature to have especially if you are discussing it with a friend and want to do it right away before waiting and forgetting when you next hop into the game.
Once again, as I mentioned in the RDR2 Companion app news piece, these companion apps are really exciting to me as it allows me to keep engaged in the game while I’m away, and, not that I have it, but it scratches that itch for those that can’t get enough of the game.
